Rebuilding the electrics of forty garage units

The electrical system of the garage complex in Ulila had reached the end of its service life. We replaced it in full: the old cabling was stripped out, new cable routes built and all forty units rewired. Each unit received its own distribution board, and the complex two new main distribution boards complete with meters and protective devices.

We chose halogen-free N2XH-J 3G4 cable, of which close to two kilometres was used. The cable routes were built from steel cable ladder.

During the work it emerged that one phase of a building's supply cable had oxidised over the years. Jointing it was absorbed into the agreed scope. We also installed repeated earthing.

The scope included as-built drawings, a measurement report and an audit.
